SIM-POSA:
For the first time in the Italian telecommunications market, prepaid SIM cards can be purchased in supermarkets, thanks to the SIM-POSA technology developed by epay.
The solution does not require investments in dedicated hardware infrastructures, nor in specialised staff at the points of sale. The SIM is in fact simply displayed in the shop like the other prepaid products already distributed by epay, and at the time of payment at the cash desk it is pre-activated. Activation can then be completed on the operator’s website or by telephone.
The first operator to debut with its SIMs in the large- scale retail trade was Kena Mobile, Tim’s “no frill” operator, and we are ready to join all operators who intend to offer an efficient and innovative customer experience to new customers.
